The Chinese Moon Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. Traditionally, it is a time for families to come together and give thanks for food and family unity. Even relatives who are unable to be with their families can look up at the dark sky and know that their loved ones are watching the same moon. So over the Summer holidays, if you find yourself missing your friends, family and teachers, just look up!

To cap off our Wellness Project, we challenge you to Beat the Teacher! Can you run further than Miss. Jones? Hula-hoop more times than Mrs. Pearson? Go higher, further, faster, heavier than us? Share your results with us and we will use them as our new targets to beat in our next Wellness Week. Remember to create your 'invisible string of love' bunting too, for us to decorate our school with your self-portraits carefully drawn on a heart-shape cloth (You can use an old t-shirt, towel, pillow-case etc).
Team Waunfawr staff have worked collaboratively over the Easter break to produce their very own Caraoke version of Shotgun - a firm favourite at every school disco. We wanted to share some joy at this difficult time with all our pupils and families. Thank you for watching.
